Wilsons Prom painting

in the spirit of keeping up with my promise to blog of my school adventures…

last night was painting class.  with dwindling class sizes, i am feeling a lot more relaxed about learning to drive a paintbrush. its a challenge for me but i figure if i cant expose my weaknesses in a classroom situation then whats the point of studying?

this painting came about after our stop over at squeaky beach on the way home from art camp.  the beautiful rocks with firey orange lichen against the white sand were so amazing.  getting the texture of the rocks is fun and learning to appreciate that you can really “move” oils around the canvas is helping.

happy days!

12 sleeps….
